Bathroom Faucet (MB)
I've wanted a new BR faucet for a long time, but I was alone in this plan because the original still works.  But, with a birthday in the somewhat near future, I was approved for a new BR faucet instead of new T-Shirts!

Shop Pfister Masey Brushed Nickel 2-Handle 4-in Centerset WaterSense...

I remember someone (perhaps Larry) mentioning to be sure to use a gasket or some other material with the replacement.  I can't find that discussion with the search feature.   I'd sure appreciate guidance on what to use underneath the replacement faucet.  And thanks in advance.

I replaced the bath faucets in both our '83 and '04 FLs, and did not need any gasket other than what was provided with the faucet. If the faucet bezel sticks a bit beyond the flat part of the counter, you could put a bead of silicone sealant around each of the three mounting holes to keep water from leaking below.

Well dang Steve, you read my mind.  In fact I was putting my kit together for this switch when I decided to visit the LDO Forum.  This new faucet is going to add some serious bling to the Outhouse!  Thanks for your guidance.

If you aren't too far down the replacement route, and are interested in alternatives, when I replaced ours I opted for bar faucets:

Delta Foundations 2-Handle Bar Faucet in Chrome-B28910LF - The Home Depot

They have spouts that can be pivoted aside for full sink access, and sit high enough we can attach our clip-on PUR water filter while camped, without it being intrusive. We clip the filter off for travel.

That looks to be an interesting faucet.  In our household, my DW (Margee) makes these kinds of decisions which has worked very well for us (and me) for the last 46 years.  We found some much nicer faucets than the one we selected, but they cost way too much.   Nevertheless, I certainly do appreciate your guidance.

Certainly anything with a higher spout would be preferable to the squat short spouted abomination that comes standard! You can't even wash your hands under the one provided, much less your hair.

Ed,

I'm curious as to the BR facucet that was originally installed in mid 2000 and earlier LD's. Our '15 RB BR faucet seems quite adequate for our coach (Pic included). One handle brushed nickle finish. It suits me just fine.

I wonder if the Mothership would be able to sell one if this design appeals to you guys.

The faucet that came in my 2004 30'IB had two round acrylic knobs on either side of a squat spout that was no taller than the knobs and projected out all of 3-4 inches, a configuration that did not allow for even a decent washing of hands.  >:(

My replacement is quite similar to the one in your photo (which would not open for me) with a substantially higher spout. Sorry, no photo.

The deed is done.  The only difficult part was doing the project by feel.   We're pleased with the new faucet and that it offers us a bit more room between the spout and the sink.

My faucet is in the dumpster but I found this picture of the same one on RV Trader.  It's mostly plastic parts.  And the OEM didn't give one much space between the water spout and the basin.  And so now you know.

Yeah, that's the ticket and you should be able to get more stuff done in the improved space.  ;)
