A different and unique use for Lazy Daze
Being retired military I still have my Commissary privileges. I only visit the local base (40 miles one way) perhaps twice per year and I have always driven there and back with the toad.

Today I decided to show some class and took the LD instead. What a surprise, talk about leisure! Instead of packing an ice chest the fridge did yeoman duty for what it was intended. I had a place to take a nap, walk the dog and collect lunch from the Burger King next door. It turned out to be a great place for people watching as well. Got home relaxed and cool, no frazzled nerves, no sweat. I can unload the groceries tomorrow... how good is that?   8)

Good plan, Steve!   Just curious which base do you go to?

Ah, yes, I stop there on occasion when visiting family in the Bay Area. We actually lived there in base housing for a year when I was a kid.

And they have RV camping as well!

I've sometimes had early DR appointments in Kansas City (90 miles away).  Rather than get up at the crack of dawn & drive 2 hours, plus deal with inbound morning traffic in the City, I take LDy Lulubelle the night before & spend the night in the parking lot.  When I had my colonoscopy the hospital let me spend the night before in their well-lighted/well-patrolled parking lot, & the same when I had an outpatient surgery--my bed, my bathroom, my refrigerator, my TV, & sometimes in range of Wi-Fi...love my LD.   ;D

I don't know how common this is, but our cancer center has 4 RV sites with all hookups. Lots of rural patients that have to drive 2 to 3 hours to get there, often for daily treatment, so this really helps those folks.

Haha... not so "unique".  I have Kaiser, which is in California.  I live in Arizona.  When I need to go to the doctor in Palm Desert, California, guess what I drive and stay in!!???
