They change $10 for processing but you can use the receipt till you get the pass.  

I have a pass but I'm getting a second just in chance .....

JMHO, but this smells like a scam; no way does getting a 'senior pass' involve giving a SS number, even the last four digits. 

I'd stick with 'regular channels', but YMMV.

I think that is a scam, as well.  Two things tip me off. 1) the web address is a .com, not a .gov, and the domain has only been registered for 2 years.  I believe it is very suspicious.

Agree.  Picked ours up this week and brochure received with pass says in FAQ section receipt is not acceptable if pass is forgotten.

BLM offices and El Dorado NF offices off hwy 50 in Sierra foothills had passes as of yesterday if in the area.

Under Menu you get this link .....
America the Beautiful Passes (U.S. National Park Service)

From there you get when you click on Senior Pass you get

America the Beautiful Passes (U.S. National Park Service)

then when you click on 'buy know from USGS you get this page

America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Senior...

On this page about midway down you get this noitce

"Due to the sudden popular demand for Senior Passes, we have partnered with Your Pass Now to simplify the order process for Senior Passes.  You will be redirected to their external web site.
Click Here to Purchase Your Senior Pass with Your Pass Now"

Clicking on this link gets you here

I'm sorry if I give you a short cut without explaining how I got there.   But I am glad you all are thinking about scams.   Most folk don't.
