Front End Stabilizer on a 2000
I just wanted to share this!  Not sure if it would help anyone but after having Bearings done, New Tires put on, then having them rotated by Tire Warehouse Mobile > Home
I took my Lazy Daze to another place for Oil Change and when my Mechanic went to pull the oil plug he called me over to see what he saw:

Might want to mention the name and city of the business. Sounds like someone to avoid.

Nice photo! Doesn't it make your day when this sort of thing happens? Apparently it has not had a nut on it for quite some time.

I know not everyone can, but it is worth spending several minutes at least once a season laying under the Lazy Daze, or any vehicle, just examining and pondering.  For those who can't, or those low slung vehicles that prevent anyone from getting under them, a cooperative mechanic can give a great educational tour of a rig when it is up on a hoist.  Many refuse customers in the shop, but many also accommodate a polite request.

Looking for minor leaks and planning longer term maintenance starts on the chassis. For all of us.

Always where the safety glasses.

Yes Paul, my mechanic said it had been off for a long time and to think I drove it up to Mammoth and Big Bear and High Desert and Laughlin, NV and San Diego.   When I bought it last year I asked the guys to check it underneath while they were doing the bearings and putting on new tires.  Also, replace a Stem.
Then when I went back for rotation it was only a week later that I had oil changed when it was spotted. But, today I went back because one tire kept leaking and they tried to tell me it was low because it's sitting. I told them my hair might be blonde but my brain has an IQ.  A tire doesn't go from 70 lbs to 35lbs in one week from sitting. It was a valve extenders so I had all 4 replaced. They were very apologetic and did not charge me for labor.  But, did say it was their fault.

Kathy, I would ask your mech to pull the wheels and check all their work. Poorly packed wheel bearings wear out fast, with possibly catastrophic results. When the mechanic, plumber, doctor treats you with condescension, patronization and dishonesty, it is "upsetting". But as we gain confidence in our own common sense it is harder to play us for fools.

Great suggestions!  I think I will. TY
