Re: Non-member Classified Listings Reply #101 – April 27, 2017, 05:30:14 pm Here is a '98 in Ceres, CA (near Modesto):98 Lazy Daze RVThis thread has been a great idea (much better than having individual threads for each ad) and I really appreciate it but it seems to be getting a little unwieldy. I find myself looking through all the pages (up to 5 now) to make sure there are no repeats. Sometimes I'm even successful! Is there some way we can delete old posts that have already sold? Or is there some other format that may work better?
Re: Non-member Classified Listings Reply #102 – April 27, 2017, 05:42:11 pm From the other boards I've seen, it hasn't been an issue leaving them. Typically, if something is sold, the listing says so or it comes down. I try to (usually)only post things that are listed in the last few days. If they are relists, it just shows they are still available. The way I look at it, you only ever need to look at the last page or so of this thread and consider the rest out of date. The FWC camper thread like this was several hundred pages long... Might consider shorter side bar conversations(i actually enjoy these, but it would be cleaner), but this is pretty simple.

The price went from 12, to 15, to 14k in 3 days. Also it says "overhauled " but she told me the overhaul cost 3k at a Ford dealership, so I'm assuming it was more like a blown head gasket repair than a full engine overhaul... She said her parents, who own the coach, would not know what was actually included in the work, and therefore wouldn't be able to confirm it...

I can't imagine how to do this cleanly without significantly upping the weight in added steel, to make up for the removed structural strength. The G-30 chassis barely has enough capacity to carry itself and the coach, much less any type of off road toy.Another dream gone astray.Larry
Re: Non-member Classified Listings Reply #116 – May 03, 2017, 09:26:24 am "Needs... a leaf spring added to each side of the rear suspension." Minor detail...If that's a lift gate out back, that probably weighs more than the motorcycle does. Also the math is interesting: Purchase for $X, spend $4000, sell for $3500 after five months.Chip

The roof over the upper bunk would rise to allow more room. I believe the walls were canvas. The "pop top" added complexity and weight. A couple years ago when we were still on the yahoo groups there was a posting from someone that had purchased one used. If they made the transition to this group perhaps they will speak up.John 1 Likes

If they made the transition to this group perhaps they will speak up.There is one that has come to a couple LD Caravan Club's GTGs, in the last year. It is still intact and useable. The pop top is similar to a VW Westfalia Bus conversion, with a fiberglass cap, located on the roof. It pops ups, adding another sleeping position for two. The sides of the pop up are canvas. The pop top is entered through an oversized hatch, located at the front of the coach, where the normal escape hatch is.Of the three pop tops I have seen, only one had good canvas, the others were rotted out, similar to what happens to many pop top camper trailers.
