Clearance lights
Hi all, I'm in the process of changing dead bulbs on our 02 RK.  I already have the replacement bulbs and new front Amber lenses.

The front lights seem simple enough as the lenses are cracked and pop off without issue.  Do the rear red lenses pop off in a similar fashion, with light prying?

I also need a replace a bulb in the drivers side rear (red) side/clearance light but I'm unsure how to access the bulb and don't want to ruin the lens.

As always your help is appreciated.

Just use a flat head screwdriver and gently pop/pry it off. There are some u toobs that show how to do this.

Thanks Chris.  I was able to gently pry off the side marker lens, and will try the rear lenses tomorrow.  UV and impact had done a number on the front ones, which mostly broke as I pried them off.

I recently had to replace a lower r/h red marker light lens + 1 bulb. I went to Trailer Hitches & Vehicle Accessories (800)298-8924  to make my order.

While on their site I learned that I could replace all of my marker lights with LED types for not much more than the cost of OEM style fixtures.

I doubt if it will be much longer before I do that exact thing.   8)

If you want to be 'totally legit' about it, be sure to check the DOT spec on the replacements.  There are some less-expensive ones that don't meet spec with regard to the angular spread of illumination, and self-reflectivity when not lit.  (Last one may be for stop/tail lights only... don't remember exactly.) 

But LEDs are great for markers on RVs and trailers.  Makers often use undersize wiring that has some voltage drop over longer wire lengths.  LED's low current draw helps them stay bright.
