never been re-sealed?
i'm currently talking to an original owner about buying his 18YO 26.5ft. i haven't been able to find any sign or serious water damage, but he tells me it's never been resealed. seemingly honest, nice original owners, but insists the only reason to reseal is if there were a problem... is it likely that almost 20 years would pass without serious damage? seems like a slim chance. it has lived it's life in the desert, but has been on tour enough to have seen it's share of downpour...

Mc, the desert sun alone will have dried out and shrunk the caulking over 20 years. The only way you will know for sure is a very careful inspection.

thanks, that's what i've been going on. i don't seem to be seeing any issues, but i just can't get over it. i feel like there must be something there whether i can see it or not...

thanks again

You may want to find a experienced inspector, someone who knows what to look for and has inspected a lot of RVs.
It can well be worth the expense, ceiling or wall rot can cost thousands to repair.

"insists the only reason to reseal is if there were a problem"

He's wrong. The reason to reseal is to prevent a problem before it happens. Better inspect that coach thoroughly, and ask to see maintenance records.
