Re: New Listings on RV Trader Reply #1 – March 22, 2017, 03:52:25 pm I think that 2002 with the rear queen is fairly rare. I have only seen one other. And it was up in Seattle close to me. It was for sale when I was looking. But I don't like that floor plan it gives up so much living space. Just to have that bed.

But I don't like that floor plan it gives up so much living space. Just to have that bed.The 31' Queen Bed isn't uncommon, many couples prefer to sleep together on a real bed. Many are satisfied using the front lounge area, during the day or using the queen as a day bed. It's a great place to watch TV.The area under the queen bed is loaded with more storage than what you can use, just like all 31' models, with their limited CCC.Larry
Re: New Listings on RV Trader Reply #4 – March 22, 2017, 05:30:05 pm Yea Larry plenty of 31'ers out there but that one is a 26.5'er according to the ad. So only a couple swivel chairs with a tiny table. And a sliding couch that I think blocks the entry door when slid out.

Larry W.Well Larry, I can't speak for the 27 Queens but I'll need your help to locate the huge storage you mention under my 30' Queen. Lets see, from the interior there's the water pump and a great big fresh water tank. Nuttin else! From the outside most of the space is taken up by the spare tire recessed way back out of reach, unless you're a gorilla. Now there is a pass through there also which comes in hand for miscellaneous boxes and tools. Ain't gonna tip the scales very far.

It is, however, out of my price range. Truthfully, we are probably a year out before ready to make a purchase but I'm keeping tabs of what's out there so I can spring into action when ready!

Re: New Listings on RV Trader Reply #8 – March 22, 2017, 06:20:28 pm It is, however, out of my price range.---If I were interested in this rig, the first thing I would check is the sealing job on the roof; the photos show Eternabond peeking over the front edges. If that job were well done (some are not) and there were no (or minor) engine, system, and "box" issues after a thorough inspection (and, if I were in a position to make a clean cash deal) I'd probably offer the seller $35 and not go above $37; IMO, the list price is very optimistic.

Thanks, Joan! The good news is my tax accountant just called and I'm actually getting a (small) refund this year, so I'm that much closer to buying!
Re: New Listings on RV Trader Reply #10 – March 22, 2017, 10:40:43 pm We first looked at the model called the 26.5 island bed, it was located north of Seattle it was a 98 but it had corrosion issues on both back sides and on the back wall. I thought if the price was right(cheap) I could rebuild some of the back end and add new rear Mid-Bath style windows from the mothership and create that back lounge effect with a queen bedroom in the rear. I thought you could have the Best of both worlds, a rear bedroom with the glass of the rear lounge of a Mid bath but the CCC of a Mid-Bath. In the end the roof was way to scary and would probably have problems in many other places with the corrosion issues. We Passed it up for the Mid-Bath and are happly ever after... Karen~Liam 98 ~ MB

Interesting that a seller would not know what s/he has, but LD models and sizes are not always listed accurately in ads.

The FD is pretty much the same floor plan as my first motorhome a 1994 Jamboree. We really liked it even traveling with 2 100lb dogs. But now we are hooked on the mid bath just love the 180 degree view out the back and having a couch for each of us.

Re: New Listings on RV Trader Reply #19 – March 23, 2017, 11:47:26 am The '95 TK looks a little rough, but it's priced appropriately. Even better, it looks to be pure stock - it even has the original clock. I like items that haven't been "messed with", with the recognition that condition usually goes along with lack of maintenance. That being said, the driver side paneling looks discolored (which could mean water damage), and the fact that it's missing the rear chrome simulators should be a tip off to overall condition. IMO, the 2007 appears to be overpriced regardless of low miles, whereas the 2012 is also over priced because of high miles. Overall, if I was looking to get into an LD, and the (expected) water damage in the '95 wasn't that bad, I'd be interested in that one for sure. More so, with the big 460, it might actually fall in the "good deal" range.Just to play the fantasy game, if the 2012 had the mileage of the 2007, I'd be tempted to buy it sight unseen for $50k and figure out what to do with it afterward. 1 Likes
