We are in Atascadero now and can confirm it has been raining heavily here. Guess we will avoid Hwy. 41. Heading north tomorrow, into the storm.

Another update on the closure. Looks to be reopened soon, just in time for all those beautiful LD's to converge at Morro Bay!

Just a FYI: if one is coming up 101 from the south, one can take the Los Osos Valley Rd. exit and go through Baywood Park to Morro Bay or take the Hwy. 1/"Cabrillo Highway" exit (Santa Rosa St.) up into Morro Bay  instead of going all the way up to Atascadero and over 41. Saves hauling over Cuesta.  ;)

Yes, you would only possibly use 41 if coming from the north. Another option for you northerners is to take the 46 West/ Hearst Castle exit in southern Paso Robles, then head south (left) at Hwy 1. Take a drive through Cayucos while you're at it- a very scenic way to get to Morro Bay!
