What do you all think of this one? February 05, 2017, 06:54:14 pm 1991 Lazy Daze 26 26 MID BATH, newport beach CA - - RVtrader.comThe seller decided he would have the rig smogged, despite his earlier refusal to do so. It may be silly but, I'm a little put off by the pink and blue decor. More importantly, the price isn't even close to Chris's document showing price by year. It's about 7k off! How do I address this with the seller without offending him, or should I just move on? I'm waiting to hear back from the him right now to arrange an appointment to have it inspected. Should I just pass? I'm looking at another one that is more reasonably priced, but it's out of state.Thanks.Mimi

How do I address this with the seller without offending him, or should I just move on? I'm waiting to hear back from the him right now to arrange an appointment to have it inspected. Should I just pass? First thing that I would do is establish my search criteria for a LD that I wanted to include models years, mileage, price range, floor plan, etc. then I conduct my search. Once I found a LD that met my search criteria or was close, then I figure out a way to either inspect it myself or find a person to conduct a RV Survey. If the survey was satisfactory and I decided that a particular LD was the ONE, then I would begin to negotiate with the seller. I might have to pay more if the LD was very special for some reasons or I might offer less if the condition was lacking in some important areas. This process is not much different than buying a house.I wouldn't be able to help another person with this important decision unless I was involved with each of the steps mentioned above. And I certainly couldn't help a person while setting at keyboard in Fort Worth! Hope this helps you a bit. 1 Likes

Have a fair price in mind and negotiate to it.As for "pink" or mauve as I think it was called, for the life of me I cannot understand how it became a popular color n the 80s and early 90s. That said, I believe we had a mauve carpet in the late 80s. Chris 1 Likes

I've seen others do the same.
Re: What do you all think of this one? Reply #5 – February 06, 2017, 01:31:55 am Don't worry for a minute about offending the seller with your offer. I had mine for sale a year ago and was offered 20 to 30% below asking price day after day. It's part of the dance. Partly thanks to them I decided to keep the LD and I'm glad I did.Mark 1 Likes
