Change in Temperature
Today near Burnet, Texas it was 78 degrees.  Tomorrow morning it will 25 degrees.  That's our personal record.  When we return to Fort Worth, winterizing for the second time in 2 weeks.  Btw, Inks Lake SP is a lovely park.

We are in a similar situation......  We arrived in Mississippi today, it was 80 degrees.  The high tomorrow will be 39 degrees.  The kids wanted to go to the park, Im not sure if they will feel the same tomorrow.

Right now the National Weather Service official temp is -8*F with a forecast overnight low of -10*. Yes, that's minus.

There is a dog under this snow. She loves this stuff. Never seen it too cold or the snow too deep for her.

Keeping warm by the fireplace.

Was for a great many years. Went to high school in Key West.

Nine below here in Omaha this morning. Hasn't been this cold in over a decade.

Toby only lasted a minute outside before wanting me to pick him up and carry him back to the house. Oy!!!

We are enjoying good fortune here in the Keys. Made a bucket list trip down here that had been in the planning for three years. What good timing! AC is running, it is in the 80's and sunny.

Now we have to time our drive back west to avoid what we ran into last year- I-10 closed in El Paso due to a blizzard.

Paul, How was driving the down A1A through the keys in a RV?  I have thought about the trip but not sure.  Where have you camped?  And do you like the place?

The drive was/is as easy as any two lane. We came US 41 to FL 997, avoiding the big  city. Once on US 1 it has been fine. Winds below 17 knots, so no stress.

We have been in Curry Hammock and Bahia Honda state parks. Busy but good places. Curry Hammock is getting new bathrooms so the temporaries are a bit over used. Wind has kept the water choppy so canoing is spotty. Bahia Honda has a decent little beach (for the Keys).

I like the "old trashy side" (not a value judgement!) of this part of Florida. She likes the snorkeling. We both like to be warm.
