Christmas
My kids and I left Washington state on November 8th, for a trip to Ohio.  We thought we might be gone for about three weeks.....    Once we got to Ohio, we were so close to NYC and Thanksgiving day, we decided to go to the parade.  Now over a month later we are in Alabama, and know we will still be in our LD for Christmas.  So, today we did a Walmart Christmas run.  We bought a mini tree and some cheap decorations etc..  and decorated our rig.  Our kids LOVE it!  And I love the fact that my kids are enjoying traveling so much, that they don't care where they celebrate Christmas.

What wonderful ages and so lucky to have a Super Mom. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Enjoy your travels.

Ed

Thanks Ed... :D   They also have a Super Dad, who is willing to let his family travel without him, while he works, so that his kids can learn about and enjoy this great country that we live in!  (Dad did get to join us for a few weeks around Thanksgiving and will join us again at Christmas).

Not to be over-cautious, but I recommend you do not post anything to social media which would allow others to know your home address and vacancy situation.

Steve

Thanks Steve..... its a 'non issue' for us.   We sold our house a year and a half ago, got rid of most of our stuff and put the rest in storage (original plan was for hubby to find a remote job so we could travel full time as a family).   We have been living in a very remote location in our 'cabin in the woods'.   While the cabin is a great place for the kids and dog to live, it's hard to find and there isn't much there for anyone to take.    ;)

I do think it is a great reminder though about what we post on social media.  Thankfully, so far all my postings have gotten us was a few free night's stays and some meals at friends houses.   :D

I cannot take credit for the photo. My wife found it on facebook. I believe that is the Ventura pier in the background.

In 2008 we met Tessa Hill, and her three  children, at the Balloon Fiesta. She's the most adventuresome person I've ever personally met. With just her and the kids, she travelled all over North America, Mexico, Central America and parts of Europe.

Rebecca, you may enjoy reading about her travels with her children. Like you, her husband stayed home to work, and joined up now and then.

Thanks Ed,   I think I've heard Tessa's name before.  I'll check out the blog.
