I was wanting to make a change to my profile, after the change it asked for my password.  When I entered what I thought was my password the system did not recognize it.  Now what do I do?  Please email any solutions.

Thanks,

Before I pass this on to Steve for a looksee, are you sure, David, that you were using the correct password?

I've made several changes to my profile in the past and it has never asked for my password if logged in already.

I just tested the "password" request by making a small change to my profile; no password request after making the change. AFAIK, one can't even access one's account/profile without signing in to the forum and providing a password, so a second password input shouldn't be necessary; hope the site owners will post an answer.

Hey Chris,  When I first got on the forum (several years ago) I created a username and password.  Now whenever I bring up the forum I'm automatically logged in because my computer remembers my password from back then.  I do make note of my passwords so I thought I had it but when I try to use it when updating and saving my profile I get an error message.  Now there is a possibility that I changed the password and didn't make note it but I don't remember.  Stranger things have happened in my computer illiterate memory so it may just be me.  Looked for a way to reset password but didn't see one and I don't won't to log out for fear of not getting back in.  Kind of a catch 22.  I thought if some one would email me how to do it I could handle it on my end.  Can't do without my routine LD Group fix.

Thanks,

David

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the email about resetting my forgotten password.  I made the plunge and signed out of the LD Forum as instructed.  When I went to log back in it gave me a forgotten password option and I followed it and it worked like a charm.  Sorry to bother you with my computer illiteracy but you came through like a champ.  I continue to be a happy LD Forum member thanks to patient folks who overlook my ineptness.

David, believe me, we've all been in the same place. We moderators and the administrators, Steve and Michelle, are always glad to help anyone on the LDO forum who needs it.
