New Cabinet November 30, 2016, 11:43:24 pm First, I know this is not something everyone will want to do. I'm a solo and found the extra side of the dinette to be a waste of space. I had a plastic drawer thing sitting on the cushion for a while, but it was cheap and finally broke. I went to Lowes and found a 3-drawer kitchen base cabinet and had plywood cut for the top and for a side shelf. I got a Pecan color polyurethane and painted the top and shelf, added some hook locks on the drawers, and now I have great extra storage, expanded kitchen counter, and a nice bulletin board on the other side. My PS4 and Dish receiver fit nicely in the space between the cabinet and the kitchen wall. The top drawer is useful for all manner of small things, and the two bigger drawers for an expanded pantry. The whole thing can be removed (a couple of screws) if necessary.Like I said, I'm solo and this works great for me. 3 Likes

I am curious about the units tare weight and its final weight when loaded.Was there a need to counterbalance the bay carrying load? Balance of side to side weight of RVs seems almost critical.Nice finish and appears to be very functional.Kent

I used the Escapees Smart Weigh in Congress, AZ.As it turns out, my rear left and right are exactly the same weight, at 4250 lbs. I'm sure this was either due to my skill and expertise or the blind squirrel finding a nut theory. The front was passenger side 2100 lbs and drivers side 2125 lbs. Obviously I need to cut out the ice cream. Even with the weight of my way too heavy Jeep, my GCWR is 1550 lbs underweight.Highly recommended procedure.
