water pump tee
Hello,

I'm digging into my water pump and hoping to winterize my LD.

Does anyone have any ideas why there is a tee on the pump's output line?

Thanks for any help or advice!

The shore water inlet connection will tee into the pump output line - but what is in your pic looks like an aftermarket kluge of some sort.

Hey Larry and Steve,

Thanks for the replies.

I do have an external shore water hookup. I haven't investigated where that plumbs into everything - as it is hard to access and I've just started digging in.

I agree that there is room for improvements. Are there any tutorials or instructions on "correcting" the pump placement and making things "right"?

Thanks for the advice!

Looks like a prior owner wanted to pump water from the tank to somewhere external of the installed water system. A homemade outside shower, perhaps?

Right or wrong, maybe it was meant to be used to help winterize the fresh water system?
