Bathroom fan
Reviewing the prior threads, it seems like a lot of people replace the Maxxair bathroom fan.  For now I'm sticking with it, but had to replace the Jensen motor and fan blades.  The PO disclosed it was broken and had been disconnected.  I took the ceiling stroud off and located two wires exiting within the fan rough opening.

My question is how does it turn on/off?

Thanks, Matt 2002 RK

"My question is how does it turn on/off?"

The fan itself has a power switch.

Thanks Andy.  Where is the switch; is it supposed to be in the fan unit itself?  Matt

I had mine replaced with a Fan-Tastic fan shortly after I bought my present rig eleven years ago, so take this with a grain of salt, but... as I recall, it's a small push-on/push-off switch located on the fan's bezel. Somebody who has one of these can tell you more precisely.

Andy is right, that's the setup I have on my 98.  There is a little black push button switch in the middle sticking through a designed hole int the screen.  I can take a picture tomorrow if you need to see how it is set up.

Thanks Liam.  I can see where the switch should go, so now I just need to locate one of suitable dimensions.  It's curious why the switch was removed...Matt

I also started out, 12 years ago, with that OEM rattle-trap fan in the toilet. That was the first original thing to go. It was replaced with a Fantastic Fan. It was okay but still needed protection from the rain.

In slow increments I replaced/installed all five of the vent fans in my 2004 30'IB with the 'MaxxFan'. I couldn't be happier! By adjusting each fan by location, direction (in/out), and speed I can create my own micro-climate and it's got to be real hot outside when I resort to the A/C.   8)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've filed it away for future reference. In case anyone needs one now, here's the LDO Amazon link for the product ($60-80 cheaper as of 10/24/16):

I added the photo of our Bathroom fan in our 89 MB that I believe is OEM to Media group files.
      Hope this helps
