Question on winterizing
Reading the Lazy Daze Companion on winterizing I have a question. Almost to the end of the explanation, 3 lines above sub title Odds and Ends,  Depress and hold in the center portion of the city water inlet valve to drain any water from that part of the line. I guess maybe it's to early, caffeine deprivation, I am at a lost  what this refers to or what to do. Any help and please I am at your mercy for probably something that is so simple, just not seeing it. Thanks John

Hello John.  If you go to the outside of the LD and locate the city water connection, then unscrew or remove the plug.  If you look inside the connection, you'll see a small plastic fitting that is spring-loaded.  Just depress that small plastic fitting with your finger while the water lines are under pressure.  This is the check valve which keeps water from exiting that connection.  Hope this helps.

Lets me add -- stand to the side unless you want a shower.   I will not tell you how I know this.

I was recently told by Vince at the factory to never depress the city inlet valve when it is under pressure. That will likely result in displacement of the o-ring and then chronic leaking from the check valve.

First turn on the hot and cold water faucet inside to relieve pressure.

Even tho I've winterized about 20 times, I still open the LD manual and follow each step, the last of which is depressurizing the city inlet valve. There is so much to forget.
