Airstream Basecamp
If you have an extra $35,000, this cute little Airstream Basecamp is just the ticket. Looks like Airstream is going after the Millennial market. Check out the sushi and cheese hors d'oevres.  It's expensive but packs a lot of features in a small space. That said, I'll be sticking to my Lazy Daze, thank you.

Take to the great outdoors with this adorable Airstream camper | The Verge

i like this one a lot better than a prototype bubble trailer shown by airstream a few years ago.  That one was not even aluminum skinned - to me a AirStream trademark.  This seems nice for the projected market.

We looked at the Basecamp a few years ago, it went out of production, now is back. We liked the open, flexible utilitarian design with a ramp door in back to load "stuff". The door has now gone. Then we sobered up and realized we are not made of money.

Maybe it was an idea too early then, but now with the teardrop gaining popularity, it may go. $35K seams a bit steep (understatement) for an RV that to me resembles a utility trailer conversion.

But there is a lot of money out there, and small, lightweight towables are a market.

Au contraire, Paul. Scroll to the end of the photos and you will see the door is there, leading into the dinette area made into a bed.

Yes indeed, but it looks like it is hinged on the side, not the top or bottom, like the old one, or the Eddie Bauer version.

Back when I was getting off my motorcycle and looking for a way to still carry one along, I looked at the Basecamp.
For that kind of money I could do a custom designed one with my needs exactly.
I went with the Lazy Daze and carry my bike on the back.
