Looking for a valuation on a 2006 Anniversary Edition 30' fully loaded
Hi, We have a 2006 Anniversary edition 30' Lazy Daze with low miles, around 15k. After market levelers installed by Major Winfield. About 15k$ worth of aftermarket high tech improvements including a second solar panel and in motion satellite for a flat screen tv.
Excellent condition.

What is this worth? Kelly Blue Book has a valuation of 35k$ which is grossly undervalued.

Are you selling or just asking for a valuation?  If the latter, the mods probably want to move this out of the Classifieds...

The valuation of mods are fractions of the installed price. Much like mods to a home, you will never get close to what they cost.

We have a the same model LD, 2006 30ft Ann Ed and bought it last year. It had 34K miles on it. It was in good/fair condition but needed Tires, New Electric Step Motor, Batteries, and other general maintenance, and it was dirty. We have put 3K miles on it and got it looking much better and if we wanted to sell it $39,500 to $44,000. With all the extras you have put on it I would definitely think it is valued at the $44,000, plus you have less miles.

Last year I was keeping track of LD 31-footer offers and sales, using a spreadsheet. In most cases, the actual selling prices were not known. That said, for 2006 models last year, I calculated the "average" selling price was $43,700, and the last known prices for two that were sold were $42,000 and $44,900.  The two sold were Island Beds; Twin Bed models are more rare and seem to command a slight premium. Prices should have dropped somewhat with the release of the 2016 units.

The estimated asking prices for LDs is based on two sets of data of LD asking prices. 

The first set was was by Chris Horst (chorst_2000) and published in the LD Yahoo group in the year 2001 in Message #7050. Plotting this data as asking price (as a percentage of the current asking price of a similar model) versus age of the LD at the time of asking appeared to show a smooth exponential curve.  I used Excel to fit an exponential curve to this data as discussed in Message #7073. The fit indicated that the most significant factor in the price of a used LD seems to be its age more than the millage, the condition, or upgrades 
and accessories, as the scatter caused by these effects is much smaller than the change caused by age.

The second set of data was 100 asking prices based on data gathered by group member oryoki in 2004. This data was fitted with an exponential curve as well, and the fit parameters were for all practical purposes the same as for the 2001 data. This is discussed in the group message #41091.

As the value of a used LD as a % of the original asking price for a given age was essentially the same for the two sets of data, the only changes since then have been to update the current asking prices each year (as found on the LD web site). This essentially seems to take care of the effect of inflation.

In April 2010 and September 2010, another comparison was made of the asking prices estimated by this exponential table (% of new price for that model vs age of the LD) compared to LDs for sale on the Yahoo LD site. The asking prices estimated from the table averaged within 1.9 % of the actual asking prices.  Current economic conditions may have impacted this study to some degree, so the data should be used with caution."

I just looked on RV Trader if any 2006 Ann ED 30 ft was for sale and there is one with 41K miles, Twin Beds, looks very nice and the asking price is $52,000 OBO. I may sell mine, on the fence about it, so just watching other similar Rigs. I always feel that when someone puts OBO they are open to less asking price of some significance. My LD is an Island Bed.

If this is the rig you're referring to, the mileage is listed at almost 82k, not 41k. I am pretty sure that this is Don and Rosemary Webb's rig (Rosemary was the director of the Lazy Daze Caravan Club for many years), and that the asking price, at least in part, reflects the cost of the new paint job. (I've seen the paint job; it is very well done.)

It can be very difficult to price a rig "accurately"; there are many variables, from model, age, mileage, condition, necessary repairs/maintenance, add-ons, upgrades and extras, and "location, location, location", to several intangibles that influence setting a realistic asking price. A rig (and anything else, of course) is worth what a buyer is willing to pay; the fact that this rig is still available (and that an "OBO" option has been offered) may suggest that it could find a new home soon.

Interesting that when it was repainted, the owners changed the city to "San Marcos" on the spare tire cover. Nice touch!

JCT You are right 41,000 miles. The new paint job looks nice...it looks like different colors? Well it will be interesting if it sells fast and close to the asking price.

The ad JCT links to says "Mileage: 81,748". Unless the seller is willing to reveal it, the actual selling price usually remains unknown.

Yup, that does look like Rosemary & Don's rig. It was brand new when they arrived in Cheyenne for the 50th Anniversary Rally. I remember that it caused a big ruckus, everyone wanted to see inside.  ;D  I seen it again at the Death Valley Outing on New Years that year or later. That couple can truly be called Mr. & Mrs. Lazy Daze.  8)

We have one advertised in our local newspaper with 60,000 miles.  The asking price of $37,000.

I recall that the Webb's AE had awnings on the rear windows, so you are probably right, Joan.
