Anyone in PHX free to check out a LD for us?
Hi! My wife and I are in Tucson, AZ and recently had a chance to fall in love with Lazy Daze RVs after checking out a couple on the east coast (thanks Bill & Tina and Ted & Liz!) We found a mid-bath model in Phoenix that we're interested in but aren't able to make it up there to check it out until this weekend. We were wondering if anyone local to the Phoenix area might be able to go by (the LD is in Mesa) and give us the scoop, so that we can move quickly if it looks like it's in good shape.

So, anyone have some free time this week to help us out?

I noticed that this LD is still for sale was just listed again on Craigslist.  Did you go check it out, was there anything wrong with it?  Just curious as I figured it would get sold really quickly.

AVOID!!!

I put down a deposit on this LD and alukard send me pictures and a detailed summary of all the problems with the RV. When I contacted the seller to explain the deficiencies between the photos alukard sent me and the ad they posted, things went downhill fast. I asked for my deposit back and they hung up on me and now will not return my calls.

I'll be posting the whole story today or tomorrow on the forum along with pictures.

Hello Mike.  All I can say is I'm sure sorry to hear such about such a @#$%^ seller and the trouble they have caused you.  I don't remember which LD is in your search?  But if you post that information and if there is a LD for sale in this north Texas area, I'll be more than happy to help you in any way I can.   Take care.

Mike, I feel for you, a bitter experience. I hope the deposit wasn't too much.

Thank you.  I am in Phx and was considering going to take a look at it.   We really do not want to buy for another year, but the LDs rarely come up for sale here so was a bit tempted.     Appreciate knowing this, so we will not waste our time.

Hello Mike.  Thank you for posting the pictures and ad for the LD in question.  Without a doubt, you probably have helped some other LD buyers to avoid some troubles.  And at the end of the day, who needs more troubles?  Please keep us updated on your LD search.

Hey Mike... where are the pictures you posted and how can I see them?

Never mind, took me a while but I figured it out. Thanks.

Good on Alukard for going to see and send photos.

That Arizona heat and sun sure do play havoc.

Sad to see a 2005 in such condition- to me that seems a new RV, but then that's just me denying the sands of time.

I Googled   2005 Lazy Daze Mesa   and came up with the pictures from the advertisement, but didn't see anything on the list about the possible irregularities in reporting the condition.

A member of this Forum (SUBAGON) said that the condition of the LD was reported to be excellent.  When he received pictures of the LD, the condition wasn't excellent.  Subsequently,  SUBAGON said he would post the full story to include pictures.  The pictures and the LD ad are in the media section.   And that's what I know from following this thread.

I've seen the ad with pictures in the Media section.  However, I still don't know what was wrong with this LD, nor have I seen the pictures that Alukard apparently sent to Subagon.  Are they supposed to be in the Media section somewhere?

The photos are right next to the photo of the ad. They are not labeled so it's not real obvious what they are.

Looking at the pictures, there are many apparent issues

Rear corner separation, cracked and broken sections, cracks along the roof seams, wheel well rot, fresh water connection, cracks along roof vents...

Definitely a run away and hide project for me, but probably a good project for the not so faint of heart.

Think I'll keep mine just the way it is.
