The Guinness Record for Lost Reading Glasses July 27, 2016, 09:05:17 am On average, I spend an indecent amount of time everyday searching for my reading glasses. I could string them around my neck with a chain or strap, but my mother use to do that and I'm still not ready to surrender to that technique. Instead, I'll holler across the house to DW, "have you seen my reading glasses?" And DW says "Again! Get a strap!"I have a extra reading glasses in the LD, in the car, with my tools, next to the bedstand. But my favorite reading glasses just regularly disappear. For what's worth, they've survive a good many trips to the washing machine. (DW has tried to educate me about checking the pockets before I start a load of laundry. I know ... I know!) So one of this morning's projects is to find my favorite reading glasses for the millionth time! The Golden Years and the Rust Years are all the same IMO! And so it goes.

Re: The Guinness Record for Lost Reading Glasses Reply #2 – July 27, 2016, 12:27:11 pm Ed, my wife is very young and super smart. Yet she loses her glasses every time she takes them off. Every day. Several rimes each day. This has been going on for more than twenty years. Clearly you share a great capacity for analytical thinking, incisive observation, limitless capacity for being right, and possibly classic beauty. I suggested bright orange glasses, but this was a bad idea. Good luck. 1 Likes

Re: The Guinness Record for Lost Reading Glasses Reply #8 – July 28, 2016, 09:06:42 pm Yes...yes...yes on all comments above! My little red-headed mama once tried top fix my similar problem with losing my keys by gifting me with a nifty key ring that would beep when you whistled--only problem was, I can't whistle. She & her dad & my dad could whistle tunes (Daddy was big on The Streets of Laredo; my aunt & cheerleader cousins could whistle (with fingers or without)--all tried to teach me, to no avail. Bogie was obviously a much better student when Lauren Bacall told him to "just put your lips together & blow." ...all I get is hot air. 1 Likes
