Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos June 06, 2016, 12:36:07 pm Hello folks,Just thought anyone else with a LD on order like us might like to see these photos from the mothership assembly line that Todd just sent us. You can see another LD behind ours in one of the photos, maybe waiting its turn for the same item to be installed or task to be completed. Hopefully, the next photos we post will be of us in some beautiful camping spot this summer.Happy trails,Jim & Deb2016 24' TKSanta Cruz, California 3 Likes

Re: Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos Reply #2 – June 06, 2016, 04:38:00 pm Hi Ed,Todd says maybe the end of June or early July, but he couldn't promise anything. There are several rigs ahead of ours in line and ours needs to be painted yet, which is a lengthy process. I watch all the car TV shows and what Todd described is the full Monty paint job - more coats and more sanding than the typical factory jobs. No wonder all the coaches down in Morro Bay looked so nice. It's not so hard waiting when you know they're working that diligently on your new home away from home. But I have to tell you, it's sure costing me a lot of $ because I'm buying all the upgrades and accessories in advance. I'm about to order the swivel seat base in fact, thanks to the informative thread about it here on the forum.I hope you've got some more great adventures planned,Jim

I found a source that's about $70 less expensive. It's should be here by Friday. I'll let you know about the quality when it's installed. The part number is the same as the Sportmobile part number so I'm hoping it's the same. We'll see.Ed 1 Likes

The previous owner put vent covers over all but the emergency hatch on our o7 MidBath. It makes a lot of difference. I usually store it with the hatches open in the summer. If I forget the RV is much hotter. I would be tempted to ask for a fantastic fan even on vents that don't have power. The fantastic fan's screens come off for cleaning from inside the RV. To clean the screen on the other vent I need to get on top of the RV - not a big deal, more a pain. 1 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.

We saw some of the "Andy's pantry cabinets" at the Morro Bay LD jamboree, and liked that clever idea. And we'll definitely get vent covers. Appreciate the great tips! I hadn't thought of the advantage of having vent covers for when the LD is parking and waiting its next adventure. Being able to keep the vents open is another great reason to have those covers. Thanks!

Re: Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos Reply #10 – June 13, 2016, 07:07:10 pm This is just a follow-up: I took Ed's advice on his other post containing the information on ordering the swivel seat hardware. It was less expensive than the Sportmobile site's swivel seat and the shipping was very quick, 3 days from when I placed the order here in California. I have not been able to install it yet as we haven't taken delivery of our new LD yet, but I'm happy to have this upgrade ready to go.Best,JimPS: Thanks Ed!!
Re: Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos Reply #11 – June 19, 2016, 03:44:38 pm What is the approximate time from order to delivery now?
Re: Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos Reply #12 – June 19, 2016, 05:09:39 pm Boy, that's a good question "fcoleman55". I'm afraid I don't know the answer. You would want to call Todd Miller at Lazy Daze 909-627-0941 and ask him since he is the one who puts your name on the list and takes your order. The way it worked for us is we called Todd and told him we were interested in buying one. He put our name on a list and said that in several months, to as many as 6 months, he would call us and let us know they were taking orders. So we put our name on that list and waited and waited. One day, about 5 months later, if I remember right, Todd called and we gave him a deposit and formally placed the order. We placed our order in early September of 2015 and now it is June of 2016 and we are waiting for our Lazy Daze Twin King to be finished. When we ordered it, they said the ballpark delivery time would be June. We recently contacted them and now it sounds like we might take delivery in late July. So, if that happens, then our delivery time would be about 15months from the time we made the first call and 10 months from when we gave them the deposit to start building our Lazy Daze. But, things change and every year is a new production year for Lazy Daze and I expect how soon you get yours depends on when you order and how many people are in front of you. From reading posts on this forum I have seen delivery times similar to ours. I haven't seen any a lot faster. It's one of the reasons some people opt to try to find a newer previously owned Lazy Daze, though that's not easy either. And, probably a lot more decide to buy a ready-to-go Class C motorhome from an RV dealer. We preferred to wait and get a beautiful LD built just for us after searching high and low at RV places and not finding anything that was nearly as nice in this pricerange.I hope this is helpful. Once we get our Twin King I will put some photos up so at that point you will know we have it and can calculate accurately how long it took.Best wishes. Happy to answer other question,Jim Langley
Re: Deb & Jim's 2016 24' TK in progress photos Reply #13 – June 19, 2016, 06:21:42 pm It's interesting how many who know LD as a thing of beauty are kind of shocked when they hear that LD is still in production.Just this past week in Big Bear less than 50 miles from the factory a gentleman asked what year my rig was. He was amazed that it was a 2015. New or Previously Owned they are pretty amazing.Kent 1 Likes

I believe I ordered my 27RB around September and took delivery May of this year. I originally ordered a 31ft which would have taken more time. Timing worked fine for me and gave me time to save a little more $$.As mentioned, depends on where you jump into the process and how many are in front of you. I ordered with the entertainment center. Shortly after my grandkids decided to move back to TX. Wish I had the overhead bed but, Oh well.
