Is this where a newbie waves hello?
Hi everyone! Seems I found you just as you got a new forum platform. Looks great!!

I'm on the lookout to obtain a used Lazy Daze and was pointed here for general info on them. I've been full-timing in various self-converted vehicles for about 2 years now--currently a minivan, initially a vintage 2-door corolla--and am hoping to transition to something more comfortable.

In researching RVs I keep hearing that LDs are the best in terms of actually lasting and also driveability, two things that are super important to me. So here I am, ready to learn and hopefully soon to own!

Hi, Bitty, welcome & good luck on your quest.  Your experience puts you leaps & bounds ahead of where I started my journey, but this is an invaluable resource.  Finding this group was the best thing that happened to me when I started my search about four years ago--I did jump through the hoops at all those other sites (rvtrader/craigslist/etc.), but I found LDy Lulubelle on the old LWALD site under Buying & Selling.  I'm single, nearly 62, with extremely limited mechanical literacy, in north Missouri, & a member who lived near her previous family in SoCal graciously answered my request for someone to put eyeballs on & report whether it was worth making the trip west to followup on the listing (forever grateful, Dale, 'cause she's exactly what I wanted & we're bonded for life!).  Thanks to this site, I've learned questions to ask re: services, where/how to find services in parts unknown (to me). gained a lot of knowledge & confidence, & even though I will not personally ever attempt many of the feats of mechanical wizardry I read others discussing, I kinda feel smarter just reading the discussions.   ;D

Have fun on your quest!
