How to delete drafts and new posts
I have a handful of drafts that I don't see until I click on "new topic". How do I delete them? Also, if you are writing a message and decide you want to discard/delete it, how do you do that - just close out of the page?

Best I could do with a draft was to erase the subject and body.
The empty message is still in the draft section, listed as "No subject".
Maybe Steve or Michelle knows the way to delete.

A unsent message will disappear if the page is closed, unless the draft is saved.

For drafts, just click on "My Account" which takes you to your profile summary.  Next to your avatar you will see links for Show Posts, Show Stats and Show Drafts.

Selecting Drafts will present you a list of all your drafts where you can choose to remove them individually or in batch.  For batch removal you select them by using the checkboxs and then using "remove selected" button.  If you want to remove all that you see choose the checkbox that is visible in the list header, that will toggle all of the checkboxes on the page and then select "remove selected", poof gone.

Drafts can tend to accumulate for a variety of reasons, but the system only retains them for a certain number of days and then purges them for you, so its self cleaning.

As for the how do I cancel a post once I've started one, the best way is to simply navigate away from the page using the menu or the breadcrumb trail right below the menu (easy way to return to the topic).  This will likely leave a draft behind that you can remove, or ignore and let the system do it for you.

Thanks for the quick response, we should've known there was a way that wasn't readily apparent.
Makes sense once you see it.
Eventually, we have all of it down...maybe.

Thanks, Steve. I knew there'd be a way I hadn't stumbled on yet.

This "draft" feature is mighty interesting.  First, I was surprised how many drafts I had under profile probably because I'm slow at posting.  And secondly, sometimes I thought I had lost a post that I was working on and subsequently found it in the Draft Section.  So if others are slow to learn like I am, perhaps this thread bump could be helpful?

Small addition- if you save a draft when composing a Personal Message, the draft is not saved with the drafts of posts. The only way I could find it was to go to My Messages, and open the conversation, and there, magically, was my drafted Message. So many features to code!
