Have been kidnapped by a brake an alignment shop. Send money :D

At least we get to hook up to power. Here's hoping we get out after the second night.

They give you "free" electricity to sooth their guilty conscience when they present their bill.

J & G.  What are you having done?  If it includes an alignment, I'd be interested in a before and after report.

Actually I started out asking for Koni FSD shocks, servicing the front wheel bearing and checking the steering components and alignment. The alignment was last done at Hendersons in Grants Pass, OR several years ago. We now are replacing the front brake pads and lubing what needs lubing on the brakes.

Oh, and when I took a close look at the tires they appeared to have a lot more cracks in them than I realized and looked much worse than I realized. Looking at photos of what is considered serious cracking it concerned me. The shop agreed and called Michelin and Michelin agreed to pay 56% of replacement cost on new tires so there's that. So, while I had Uniroyal Laredo's which we were happy with we are going back with the Michelin LTX MS2.

Having used Henderson's in Oregon once and these people, so far I am happy with them and don't feel that they are trying to upsell me. I liked Hendersons but in the end these folks will be a bit less expensive. I know that there price for an alignment is over $100 less and they don't charge over $200 to take you on a test drive. So far, we have been out for two test drives. The first before they did anything and the second after he corrected the alignment and installed the Konis. Their price on the Konis installed was almost exactly what Hendersons was charging.

Lots of RVs here and they can do all kinds of work. In fact, there was another LD parked overnight owned by one of the forum members, Sarah B. However Sarah had not used them before but while they could have gouged her on the problem she came in for they didn't.

They also let you look at everything they are doing up close and explain it all. All that said, I'll let you know if I change my mind after they finish but so far I am impressed. Here is there link. Redding Auto Repair | All Wheel Auto, Truck & RV
