Carpet Under Dinette May 18, 2016, 05:19:11 pm In my never-ending quest to eliminate the carpet in my 2007 Midbath, I am now focusing on the carpet beneath the dinette. I find it odd that only half of that area is carpeted. Plus, eating on a carpeted area just doesn't make sense to me, because spills are bound to happen.Questions:1. Has anyone removed that carpet beneath the dinette?2. What is underneath it? Is it fully covered with vinyl flooring under the carpeting?3. Are there any bolts underneath the carpet?When I first got my Lazy Daze, I removed all the carpet from the back room. I'm much happier without all the dust and other allergens back there. I laid down an Allure laminate instead and it's so easy to keep clean.

If you haven't found answers, then here's what we discovered today. Under the carpet in our 2009 MB is OEM vinyl with two (2) bolts and washers that I believe support the generator. And actually, the vinyl with the exposed bolts looks better than that short piece of carpet under the dinette table. Margee wants to remove all the carpet just as you mentioned, which we've done except for the cab. And no surprise, the place smells fresher. Hope this delayed information is helpful. Re: Carpet Under Dinette Reply #5 – November 29, 2017, 11:57:09 am Hi Ed; I like carpet to keep my feet warm. In my bathroom I have a rug, wall to wall, with rubber backing. It is easy to remove and can be washed whenever needed. That solution would save a lot of work in your dinette. A little protection from those bolts. Three sides to confine an area rug so it doesn't move around much, and easy removal to wash or replace as needed. So if the generator is running do you get much of a foot massage? RonB 3 Likes
