Title: Wardrobe closet door latch.
Post by: dollinsdale on June 26, 2024, 03:12:33 pm
In our 2012 rear bath we have a wardrobe closet door that separates the bathroom into its own space when  opened. The latch on ours broke. Anyone replaced that latch? If so, where were you able to find a replacement.
Thanks in advance.
Be well. Dale from Downey.

Hi Dale, if it is the same as our 2003, and you are asking about the latch that holds the door open, it is JR Products part # 70435. Amazon.com: JR Products 70435 Cabinet Catch : Tools & Home Improvement (https://a.co/d/07XhCOUk)

Also, here is a link to a much cheaper generic set of 4 on Amazon. I have only purchased the 70435 directly from JR products, so cannot attest to quality.  Amazon.com: RV Drawer Latches and Catches, 4 Pack RV Cabinet Door Replacement... (https://a.co/d/06BTr0GJ)

Our plastic latch handle cracked and broke on our closet door and I repaired it with BJ Weld epoxy. Never broke again.

Dale, a different door than what you're asking about but I converted the (MB) bathroom door that separates the main coach to the lounge area to a magnetic system, as the plastic latch failed.

Hi There HILOLA, With you replacing the broken lounge door catch latch with a magnetic system is a good idea. Would you be able to explain what you used to accomplish that? I have a 2008 TK 26.5. thanks for your time, Janet

Hi Janet.  Your 26.5 model is probably a MB (Mid-Bath), same as mine.  It's been a few years now but the mod has held up so far and I really like it!  Here is more info on what I did:
