Title: What's under the oven?
Post by: 92 new on November 15, 2021, 12:58:42 am
In a 1992 26.5 mid bath what under the oven? There is a blank are that runs from refrigerator to sink. Thinking of opening it up for storage.  There is no outside compartment that opens up to area.

Hi 92New;  I don't have a midbath, and a '92 might be a lot different.  I have worked on a MB, and the fresh water tank, and battery box is in that area. There is some incidental room in that area, because members here have located as many as 3 extra batteries in that general area. I remember (at least for a 2001) that there was an external compartment outside, forward of the battery box, that had the drain valve for the freshwater tank pass through it.  RonB

Ron,
I think you are talking about the space below the fridge which is on the right side of the oven and you are right I placed two additional batteries there .... I think OP is asking for space below the oven.

92 NEW-

If your mid-bath is like our circa-1997, the water tank extends from under the oven to the sink. There is a shallow space between the tank wall and the cabinet front. I installed a central vacuum unit into it. Pictures of the space (with cabinet front removed and also vacuum installed) are here (https://www.lazydazeowners.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=546).

Notes:
1) Some wiring that runs from underneath the mid-bath into the coach penetrates the floor between the cabinet front and the water tank. I know for sure that the tank sensor wiring does/did, as I replaced it when I installed a Garnet SeeLevel II tank monitor system.
2) Our mid-bath had an interior storage compartment under the refrigerator. Some folks (e.g., Andy Baird) used that space to add house batteries. In a later model year, LD changed the design to use that space for house batteries.

Didn't think about the fresh water tank being in that area. In the 92 the batteries are on the opposite side. Now will sick a camera probe to look in from under fridge.
Thanks

Our 94 is like what is pictured. the water tank runs full length. you can remove the panel covering the water pump and use a mirror and flashlight and see the whole thing. I installed a vent in the space under the stove because when the fan on the converter would run the air had nowhere to circulate.
