Santa left me the following gift in my Stocking Stuffer!
Turtle Wax Insect Remover Sponge.
I have complained, screamed and used choice language every time we travel where hoards of bugs and various insects cling to the front surfaces of our LD. Cling is a loose term. Glued is more the case!
Especially painful when your LD was just washed and waxed. >:(
Wouldn't be that big of a deal if these creatures were easy to wipe off.
Especially trying to clean the upper reaches of the front cap, mirrors, struts, grill and bumper. No easy task no matter how you approach it.
The Turtle Wax Company claims this to be safe on all surfaces. Microfiber mesh outer cover. Safe on All surfaces.
I have not used it yet! Have any of you folks heard of this or tried it?
Cheers!
Long ago, 1980 or so, I used "Pam" spray cooking spray on my cars over a very good wax job on the leading edges. Then I switched to Armor All, but found it fades plastic. Now I use silicone based car detailers with good effect. It makes removing the bugs much easier and I spend much less time using bug remover.
I have used various spray-on bug dissolvers for years, available at auto parts stores,
Spray it on and let sit for a few minutes before washing.
Here's an example.
Rain-X® Bug & Tar Pre-wash Gel | Rain-X (https://www.rainx.com/product/rain-x-bug-tar-pre-wash-gel/)
Handy to use after a summer road trip.

I have used Bug-Off on the cabover when on the road. Spray it on and after a minute the slime of the bugs will drip on your hood. I wash off it immediately, as I don't think it all that good for your paint.

Priceless stuff in the summertime.

Cheapest thing is hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle....I'm sure that's what is in most expensive sprays. HP reacts to the smashed intestinal goo and blood ...dissolves, loosens and then you wash the surface.....works on love bugs when I go to florida..imo
