Title: Original single-handle kitchen faucet loose — hidden set screw?
Post by: LazDazGuy on May 23, 2018, 11:12:34 am
Good morning!
Getting ready to head to Live Oak Caravan tomorrow and noticed the kitchen faucet has become real jiggly loose, like it’s about to fall off (hope not!).   It’s the original from the factory.
I’m guessing there must be a set screw that just needs to be tightened, but I don’t see one.    Is it hidden somewhere or do I need to remove the cap and/or handle?    Not able to post a short video I took that shows the movement but it’s about an inch of play back and forth.   Or if this looks normal and of no concern, I’ll just leave it alone :-)
   Thanks!
Daryl

Ok, ok, never mind!
Dennis figured it out.... the little red/blue dot is a plug covering set screw. Popped it out, tightened it up w/ Allen wrench.  And loose no more :-)
   D'oh!!

The only reason you could solve it was that you published it.
It happens that way  ;D

Glad you figured it out, it's not obvious how it tightens or if it can be tightened.

See you tomorrow.

Glad you solved it.
That was my guess, but my Delta faucets are 30 years old with open set screws.
