Title: House Batteries
Post by: Matt Jones on November 08, 2017, 02:40:54 pm
I just purchased new 2-US 125 XC2, 6 volt batteries  for my 2002 MB.  Is a batterey monitor a worthwhile purchase? I have 2- 85 watt solar panels and now rely on battery voltage and indicator lights over the oven to generally know the condition of the battery.  I was wondering what experience others have had with the batterey monitors.  Thank you,  Matt

Matt, the short answer is yes. If you go to the home page and click on "Community" and then "Search", you will find about 450 posts that have the terms battery monitor, battery or monitor in them. There have been lots of discussions on the benefits of battery monitors, and they aren't that expensive.

There is so much good discussion of battery monitors here, and in other forums. I have read them all I think, and after several years, finally wised up. So here is my take, which is missing from the previous discussions.

Why did I wait so long?
