Hi Everyone!
It may not be technical, but I wasn't sure soo... Has anyone replaced the blinds/shades in their rig? Is this something I can do? The kitchen window blinds are secured at the bottom so I can't raise them without unscrewing the brackets at the bottom. I can't figure out why this was done but it looks factory. I'd also like to replace the stock short curtains in the overcab sleeping area and the privacy curtains that you draw around the driving area. I'd like to replace them all with easily removable and washable material.
I want to replace the carpet flooring, as well. If I use something like Pergo, what do I do about the carpeted dog house? Recover it, I guess.

They are secured so they don't fly around while underway. They can be released by applying a little outward pressure to the tab holding one side in and wiggling the bottom of that side of the blind free; then the other side will just slip out. Hard to describe, but not too hard to do. Or so Loni tells me. She's the only one that raises them. -- Jon

Is this the same sort of motion that is used to release the toilet paper roller when installing a fresh supply?

Unless someone has installed a different "clip" to keep the kitchen blind from swaying as you travel they should look like the pic I am attaching.
Simply and gently pull the end with the pin from the bottom corner of the blind and there ya go.
Of course by now you have probably already figured it out.

My dear wife made curtains to replace the blinds in the kitchen and bath. We had a shade replaced by Costco. Decent price, large choice of styles and colors. And they come to you and install them.
Make sure to NOT apply a great deal of pressure when trying to release the blinds from the little plastic pin/holders. Those holders/brackets are plastic and time/heat/light is not kind to plastic. Come to think of it, that might also apply to me!

My dear wife made curtains to replace the blinds in the kitchen and bath. We had a shade replaced by Costco. Decent price, large choice of styles and colors. And they come to you and install them.
Don, which shade did you replace and did you find something similar to the other pleated shades?

We replaced the rear shade in our MB. The shade replaced was made of paper. The replacement is of fabric with a blackout between the outer layers. The color is so close, you need full sun to tell a difference. There were many choices.
We liked that they did the measurement and installation.
We saw a display for the service at the exit of Costco.
