Title: Replacement window latches
Post by: mrystock on August 12, 2016, 02:41:31 pm
I have a 2005 27 MB with a broken metal window latch.  I am unable to find current link info on using the search feature on this site.  The Interstate parts catalogue does not show the Hehr model that I have.  Thanks.

Did you call the factory? They may be able to help.  They will not have the window frames but they might have a latch.

I broke one last year and bought an SOB latch from Camping World. It was completely different than the LD latch but lined up perfectly with the holes in the frame and works great. Of course, I bought two so I now carry a spare.

I have broken three on my 2003. Got replacements from Lazydaze.  They have lots of parts at a reasonable price.

Is there a preferred way to lubricate latches?  I've been afraid to put enough pressure to open the red one in the back side window of my MB.

Before forcing the window latch try seating the window itself very firmly.  ;)
