Could someone please help me out with a question?

We have a 2002 LD. Does our rv have a timing belt or a timing chain?

Thank you.

Kathy

The Ford V10 Triton engine has 2 timing chains. They are internal.

Unlike a timing belt they do not normally need replacement/service.

However there is  an external  Surpentine Belt which replaces the multiple belts found on many engines. This belt is used to drive the accessories and is easily replaced.

Good Luck,

Pat
