Thanks for all the suggestions (PAM...now that's a good idea).  What concerns me the most is the wall covering...I don't want to ruin that.
Among the suggestions...anyone tried any on the LD wall covering?

Goo Gone is completely safe on the wallpaper in my 2003 LD, and the paneling too for that matter. I'm sure Pam would be as well, although you'd probably want to use detergent or rubbing alcohol to get if off afterward. Goof Off and lighter fluid are a bit more risky for the wallpaper, and they're definitely not good for you! :-)
